2015 Tryouts

Tryouts this year take place next week:

Monday, July 27th at Glenmoor Golf Course – 18 Holes at 7:30am (Please be to the course by 7:00am)

Tuesday, July 28th at Mountain View Golf Course – 9 Holes at 8:00am (Please be to the course by 7:30am)

Wednesday, July 29th at Riverbend Golf Course – 19 Holes at 9:00am (Please be to the course by 8:30am)

Mandatory Parent/Player Meeting

2014-2015 Tryouts

Tryouts for the 2014-2015 Herriman High School Boys’ Golf Team will be held:

July 28 at 3:30pm: Riverbend Golf Course

9 Holes – $8 or free with Summer Pass

July 29 at 9:00am: Mountain View Golf course

18 Holes – $16 or free with Summer Pass

July 30 at 9:00am: River Oaks golf Course

18 Holes – $27, Summer Pass does not apply

You must pay your own green fees!

In order to tryout, you MUST have a 2.0 GPA.

Tomorrow’s Tournament

First of all, keep in mind that there was a tie for fourth place at the tournament last week, so the top five automatically advanced to this week.  With that in mind, here is the line-up for Thursday:

The bus will be leaving the school at 6:45am. Don’t be late!

It is going to be VERY COLD tomorrow.  Please make sure you dress accordingly.  Coach says it is suppose to be 30 and snowing. Please wear warm clothes, under armor is you have it (or the likes).  Please make sure you have something to wear over your ears, wear your beanie, or some ear muffs. This is no time to worry about fashion. STAY WARM PLEASE!  If anything changes about the tournament, There will be emails and texts sent out ASAP.  Good luck to you all!  GO MUSTANG GOLFERS!

Varsity Challenge and Team Picture

The next varsity challenge is this coming Tuesday the 24th at 3:00pm at Riverbend.  Please bring your green fees.  IMMEDIATLY following the challenge we will be having the team picture.  PLEASE do not run off on me. I will find you and bring you back, We HAVE to get it done this day okay.  Here is what I need you to do for me:

 

1.  All returners, please wear your navy team shirt from last year and a pair of tan shorts or pants. 

2.  All newbies, please wear a navy collared shirt and a tan pair of shorts or pants.

3.  Please wear the craziest or loudest (appropriate please) shorts you can under your pants.  We are going to have a fun picture after the serious one for the year book.  If you don’t want to you don’t have to but I am asking PRETTY PLEASE!! Please just humor your team mom. Any parents that want can come with their cameras and snap some pictures for yourselves if you want.  I also need each boy to come and see me sometime before they leave.  I need their help with something for Coach.

A Request from Coach

If you are not going to practice at the designated practice site set by the coach, you need to let him, the assistant coach or myself (Team Mom) know.  You also have to have it validated.  No golfing by yourself.  We will require proof that you did practice from an adult please.  No one wants a penalty stroke with the scores so close.

Team Banquet

We are tentatively set for October 24th at 6:30 pm.  in the Tech Atrium at the High School.  Families are invited.  I will get more info out as it becomes more set.  Please mark your calendars so you don’t miss out!

Reminder from Coach
